Velin Smilenov Balkanski
Born on the 18th of September, 1956 at the village of Glogino, Smolyan Region.

- Higher education, finished in 1985 at Plovdiv University “P.Hilendarski”, Master degree in mathematics;
- In 1999 – University of national and international economy - Sofia, Master degree in Management and territorial systems;
Professional experience:
- 1984 - 1985 – cashier;
- 1985 -1992 – tax inspector, chief tax inspector;
- 1992 –1999 – chief tax inspector, head of Tax office, head of Haskovo tax subdivision;
- 2000 – 2001 – Territorial tax director – Haskovo;
- 01.10.2001 – Deputy Regional Governor, Haskovo region;
Married, with two children.
